Rep. Mitch Little, a Republican recently elected to the Texas State House representing District 65, used his social media platform on August 26, 2025, to comment on internal dynamics among Republican lawmakers and advocate for legislative action.

In one post, Rep. Little questioned party unity by writing: “Wonder what the overlay is between the Republicans who will not coauthor this bill and the Republicans who will not vote in caucus to censure the Democrats.” (August 26, 2025). Shortly after, he followed up with another message reflecting on political mysteries: “One of life’s eternal, unexplained mysteries that no one can solve. Probably unrelated issues.” (August 26, 2025).

Later in the day, Rep. Little made a pointed statement about legislative negotiations over a proposed taxpayer-funded lobbying ban: “We will release one raccoon on the floor per day until the taxpayer funded lobbying ban is passed. We await your counteroffer.” (August 26, 2025).

Little assumed office earlier in 2025 after succeeding Kronda Thimesch as representative of Texas’ 65th House district.
