Rep. Mitch Little, a Republican representing Texas’s 65th House district, shared a series of posts on social media in early September 2025 that highlighted both legislative developments and his views on property tax relief.

On September 2, 2025, Little commented on the mood within a legislative group by posting, “House Calvinist Caucus having a rough day.”

The following day, he recounted an encounter at his hotel in Austin: “My hotel in Austin is not that nice, but it does come with Jon Gruden. I told him we were working on rules changes, but all he wanted to know about was property tax relief.” Shortly after, Little clarified the anecdote’s accuracy while emphasizing a policy priority: “OK, that last part was not totally historically accurate. But we do need serious property tax relief.”

Little was elected to the Texas State House in 2025 to represent District 65, succeeding Kronda Thimesch. As a newly elected official in the Texas legislature, his recent statements reflect ongoing debates around state fiscal policy and internal dynamics among lawmakers.
