Rep. Marc Veasey, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 33rd District since 2013, has been active on social media, addressing various issues through his tweets.
On May 21, 2025, Veasey tweeted about former President Donald Trump, referencing a report that he “got a 747 from Qatar.” He added a satirical remark: “I guess treason comes with extra legroom now.”
The following day, on May 22, Veasey addressed an incident he described as terrorism. He stated: “This was an act of terrorism plain and simple. Antisemitism continues to claim lives and breed hate. The perpetrator will face justice.” This tweet highlights ongoing concerns about antisemitism and its impact on communities.
Later on May 22, Veasey criticized House Republicans for their actions regarding healthcare policy. He tweeted: “House Republicans voted to gut Medicaid- ripping away your healthcare. Your family’s healthcare. Why? To give out tax breaks to billionaires. This is a Trump Tax Scam bill.” He also provided a link to his full statement for further details.
Marc Veasey’s career in public service began in the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013 before transitioning to Congress in 2013. Born in Fort Worth in 1971 and educated at Texas Wesleyan University with a BA in 1995, Veasey remains deeply connected to his roots in Texas.
