The Bath House Cultural Center will host a performance of ‘I Am Home,’ written by Dallas-based playwright, director, and artist Hailee Dyer, on May 30 at 2:30 p.m. in the Black Box Theater. The event is free and open to the public.

‘I Am Home’ is set in the modern world where productivity often overshadows passion. The play follows Lisa, a psychiatrist who helps others find healing while quietly losing touch with her own creative soul. When an unexpected encounter reawakens her artistic side, Lisa is forced to confront the gap between who she has become and who she was created to be.

The production explores themes such as creativity versus stability and purpose versus peace. According to organizers, it aims to remind audiences that gifts should not be buried under the weight of success.

Presented in partnership with the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and hosted at the Bath House Cultural Center, ‘I Am Home’ is described as an intimate theatrical experience exploring identity, fear, healing, and courage. Hailee Dyer’s participation comes as part of her recognition within the City of Dallas Community Artist Program.

Organizers said this production highlights local artists’ ability to create meaningful cultural experiences that foster connection, conversation, and accessibility throughout Dallas communities.
