The Oak Cliff Cultural Center announced on April 23 a series of events and exhibitions for April and May 2026, including workshops, art shows, performances, and film screenings at its OC3 Gallery in Dallas.

The programming aims to engage the community through visual arts, interactive experiences, and opportunities for creative expression. The center’s schedule highlights collaborations with local artists, schools, and organizations.

During Dallas Arts Month in April, the OC3 Gallery will host Strange Powers Press—a small risograph studio based in Oak Cliff—through their project R.I.S.E. (Riso Inspires Social Empowerment). Participants can create risograph prints, posters, and stickers focused on social issues. “Participants can utilize the power of protest art as a catalyst for change through visualizing resistance and amplifying their voices,” according to the announcement. Completed works will be exhibited throughout April with a closing reception scheduled for Saturday, April 25.

Strange Powers Press is operated by Mylan Nguyen and Taro Waggoner in Dallas. Their mission is to promote zines and prints while holding workshops on printmaking techniques. In addition to R.I.S.E., the Dallas Museum of Art will offer a drop-in collage activity during gallery hours from Tuesday to Saturday between noon and 6 p.m.

Other events include the Adamson End of Year Art Show featuring student work from Adamson High School (April 18–25), an Earth Day film screening titled “Earth’s Greatest Enemy” on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m., Moroles Arts Week performances (April 27–May 1), Tepani’s Heartwork: Clown Ritual exploring themes of grief and healing (May 1 at 7:30 p.m.), as well as upcoming exhibitions such as Chenxi Gao’s “Tracing the Traces” running May 9 through June 5.

Gao’s exhibition examines concepts of home using mixed media informed by her experiences moving between cities in China and the United States. She currently serves as Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia.

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is located at 223 W. Jefferson Boulevard in Dallas with regular hours Tuesday through Saturday from noon to six p.m.
