On Friday, March 27, former Lake Highlands High School standout Jake Carvajal took the mound for New Mexico State, as the Aggies were defeated 7-5 by the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders in their NCAA Division I baseball contest.

The matchup, held at Reese Smith Jr Field, marked the teams’ first meeting this season.

Carvajal pitched 1.2 innings, issuing two walks.

The Aggies will face the Blue Raiders again on Saturday, March 28, at Reese Smith Jr Field.
