Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson will announce the 30th annual Dallas Mayor’s Back to School Fair on May 4, alongside several community leaders. The announcement is set for Thursday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Flag Room at Dallas City Hall.
The event highlights the city’s ongoing efforts to support students and families as they prepare for the upcoming school year. It brings together local officials, educational leaders, and community organizations in a collaborative effort.
Joining Mayor Johnson for the announcement will be Dr. Stephanie Elizalde, Superintendent of Dallas Independent School District; Antoine Joyce-Roach, Senior Vice President of the All Stars Project of Dallas; and Lindsay Davis, President of Junior League of Dallas. Sponsors and local mascots are also expected to participate in the event.
The Back to School Fair has become an annual tradition aimed at providing resources and support for students across Dallas as they get ready for school each fall.
This year marks three decades since the fair began supporting education initiatives in the city. Organizers say that bringing together various partners helps ensure that students have what they need for a successful start to their academic year.
