Rep. Marc Veasey, a seasoned politician serving Texas’s 33rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2013, has been active on social media, sharing insights and events from his recent engagements. Veasey, who also served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013, recently posted about various activities and concerns through his Twitter account.
On June 16, 2025, Rep. Veasey commented on demonstrations held over the weekend in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Arlington. He stated that people took to the streets with a unified message: “no Kings in this country.” He emphasized that these gatherings did not provide any excuse for former President Trump or Governor Abbott to react negatively, describing them as “peaceful and powerful.”
The following day, on June 17, Veasey shared his participation in a community event organized by BAPS Charities. In his post, he expressed pride in joining the “Spirit of Service” Walk-Run at Kaleidoscope Park in Frisco. He noted that he kicked off the event with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and marched alongside fellow community members dedicated to health and unity. Veasey highlighted their collective efforts to build a stronger North Texas community: “Together, our steps build a stronger North.”
On June 18, Rep. Veasey addressed concerns regarding potential loss of benefits for working families under the federal poverty line. In his tweet thread segment (2/6), he pointed out that many of those at risk are hardworking individuals striving to maintain their children’s health and keep food on the table. He stressed that families below the poverty line constitute most of those who would be affected: “Families below the poverty line make up the majority of those who would lose benefits.”
Marc Veasey’s deep-rooted connection to Texas is evident as he was born in Fort Worth in 1971 and currently resides there. An alumnus of Texas Wesleyan University with a BA degree earned in 1995, Veasey’s commitment to public service continues as he advocates for constituents’ rights and well-being.
