Marc Veasey, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 33rd District since 2013, has been vocal on social media about recent political and personal events. Veasey, who was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1971 and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 1995 with a BA, shared his views through several tweets.
On June 14, 2025, Veasey commented on former President Donald Trump’s $45 million birthday celebration. He criticized the event by drawing parallels to leaders like Stalin, Kim Jong Un, and Putin. “Trump is throwing a $45 million birthday party in the style of Stalin, Kim Jong Un, and Putin. We’re not a dictatorship. That’s why I introduced the PARADE Act—so presidents can’t use the military as props or abuse taxpayer dollars. Happy birthday, Mr. President.”
The following day on June 15, Veasey expressed his condolences regarding a tragic incident involving Minnesota politicians. He stated: “I’m horrified by the assassination of MN State Rep. Hortman and her husband, and the attempted murder of MN State Sen. Hoffman and his wife. My prayers are with the families and I stand with all Minnesotans during this difficult time.”
Later that same day, Veasey celebrated Father’s Day by hosting an event called “Dads in the District.” The discussion focused on fatherhood’s importance and its impact on children’s futures. He acknowledged Ty Stimpson for participating: “Happy Father’s Day! This weekend, I hosted Dads in the District, a conversation about the importance of fatherhood and the critical role fathers play in shaping the future of their children. Special thanks to Ty Stimpson for joining the conversation and sharing his powerful”
Marc Veasey’s long-standing political career includes serving in both Congress since 2013 and previously in the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2013.
