Marc Veasey highlights Epstein files bill and North Texas energy initiatives

U.S. Representative Marc Veasey, who has consistently won re-election in Texas since 2014, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and regional initiatives. On September 2, 2025, Veasey addressed ongoing attempts to increase transparency regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case files.

On that date, Veasey posted: “It has been nearly 2 months since I filed a bill to release ALL Epstein files. Tonight, I join Rep. Massie and @RepRoKhanna in their discharge petition to force Trump to release all the Epstein files.” (September 2, 2025).

Two days later, on September 4, Veasey turned his attention to local energy issues in North Texas. He wrote: “I have proudly been supporting initiatives to continue to make Nort Texas energy secure and improve our energy infrastructure. I am proud to support sites like the Comanche Peak that are vital to our energy future. I am going to continue to find opportunities in North Texas to” (September 4, 2025).

Later that day, Veasey also commented on an immigration enforcement matter involving Omar Salazar. He stated: “My statement regarding Omar Salazar’s recent detention by ICE.” (September 4, 2025).

Marc Veasey’s public service is marked by repeated electoral victories against various opponents over the last decade. In the most recent election of 2024, he defeated Patrick David Gillespie with approximately 69% of the vote. Previous elections saw similar margins against Fabian Cordova Vasquez in 2020 (67%), Patrick David Gillespie again in 2022 (72%), Willie Billups in 2018 (76%), M. Mark Mitchell in 2016 (74%), and Jason Reeves in 2014 (87%). These results reflect sustained support for Veasey within his district.
