U.S. Representative Marc Veasey has recently addressed several key issues on his social media account, including the National Defense Authorization Act, the anniversary of September 11, and concerns about the current administration’s economic policies.

On September 10, 2025, Veasey shared a statement regarding defense policy: “Read my full statement on the National Defense Authorization Act. https://t.co/lN7d9GxgEN”.

The following day, marking the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Veasey reflected on the tragedy and its victims: “24 years ago today, we lost 2,977 lives. Civilians, first responders. Mothers, fathers, children. Our neighbors, friends, and family.

We will never forget the terrible tragedy that befell our nation and all those we lost, including many brave first responders. We will never” (September 11, 2025).

On September 12, Veasey criticized the sitting president’s economic policies: “Let me be clear: this President is responsible for your bills going up. From food to cars. Reckless tariffs, gutting your healthcare, raiding manufacturing plants. It is no wonder our economy is barreling towards a recession under his watch.

Marc Veasey has represented Texas in Congress since 2013 and has consistently secured re-election victories in his district over multiple cycles—defeating Patrick David Gillespie in both 2024 (68.8% to 31.2%) and 2022 (72% to 25.6%), as well as other challengers in previous years such as Fabian Cordova Vasquez in 2020 (66.8% to 25.2%), Willie Billups in 2018 (76.2% to 21.9%), M. Mark Mitchell in 2016 (73.7% to 26.3%), and Jason Reeves in 2014 (86.5% to 13.5%).
