The Latino Cultural Center announced on April 14 that it will hold an opening reception on April 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, celebrating the debut of two exhibitions featuring contemporary Mexican artists Jazzamoart and Rodrigo de la Sierra.
The event highlights the intersection of art and culture at a time when Dallas is preparing to welcome the global stage for the 2026 World Cup. The center says this moment brings together creativity, community, and international dialogue.
Presented in partnership with Latino Arts Project and curated by Elena Catalán Roldán, the exhibitions “The Goals of Painting” by Jazzamoart and “El Mundo es un Juego” by Rodrigo de la Sierra offer visitors an exploration into play, humanity, and global connection through painting and sculpture. Jazzamoart’s exhibition runs from April 18 to May 22, focusing on soccer as a universal language that unites cultures. His work reflects movement and rhythm through color while bridging music, sport, and visual art over a career spanning more than five decades.
In parallel, de la Sierra introduces Timoteo—an iconic sculptural figure who serves as a playful yet profound observer of modern life. Through his sculptures in “El Mundo es un Juego,” de la Sierra encourages reflection on humanity’s place in an ever-changing world.
Organizers invite guests to celebrate an evening dedicated to art, culture, and community engagement where creativity meets global conversation.
