The Latino Cultural Center announced on April 23 that it will host two community events: the Frank Obregon Jazz Festival on April 24 and the Dia de Nino Festival on April 25.
These events offer opportunities for families and music lovers to experience live performances, interactive activities, and cultural celebrations.
The Frank Obregon Jazz Festival is scheduled for Saturday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Hosted by Frank Obregon, the festival brings together musicians from different backgrounds to blend regional sounds with jazz traditions. Organizers say attendees can expect a fusion of rhythms, cultures, and improvisation during this event celebrating international jazz at the Latino Cultural Center.
On Sunday, the Dia de Nino Festival will provide a day of free family-friendly activities. The program includes hands-on crafts with Brick Haus, workshops by Pasos for OC, games for all ages, dance performances by Disco Kids in the plaza, lucha libre matches, theater acts, a talent show, and opportunities to shop from local vendors. The festival also features a toy drive called “Juguetes Para Todos,” where participants can donate toys for a chance to win raffle prizes such as custom shoe experiences or a VIP Disco Kids party.
Both festivals are designed to engage people of all ages while supporting small businesses and fostering community connections at the Latino Cultural Center.
