The Latino Cultural Center announced on May 7 that it will host two special events in celebration of Mother’s Day weekend. The activities are scheduled for May 8 and May 9, offering participants opportunities to connect through art and floral design.

The announcement highlights the importance of creating spaces where women can pause, connect, and honor their roles as mothers, daughters, and nurturers. Organizers say these workshops are designed to foster creativity and meaningful conversation in a welcoming environment.

The first event is a Mother’s Day Floral Workshop on May 8 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Latino Cultural Center. According to the announcement, attendees will have the chance to design their own bouquet inspired by Latin American flora while enjoying drinks and light bites. The gathering aims to provide a space for recharging and celebrating motherhood through hands-on activity.

A second workshop takes place on Saturday, May 9 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Led by Eva Azul, this flower-painting session is open to all skill levels in a fully bilingual setting. Participants are invited to create their own floral artwork as a way of spending quality time with loved ones or simply sharing a creative experience together. The cost is $40 per participant.

Both events require advance reservation due to limited spots available. For more information or registration details about the painting workshop with Eva Azul, interested individuals can contact her via email at contact@evaazul.com or text at 469-426-1142.
