The Latino Cultural Center announced on Apr. 9 a series of cultural festivals taking place in Dallas throughout April, featuring music, dance, food, and family activities.
These events aim to celebrate diverse cultures and provide accessible entertainment for the community. The lineup includes Cocina Flamenca LIVE 2026, Frank Obregon: Jazz Festival, and Dia de Nino Festival.
Cocina Flamenca LIVE will be held on Saturday, April 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., offering a free outdoor and indoor celebration inspired by Spain’s La Feria de Sevilla. Attendees can experience flamenco performances by international artists, interactive dance tutorials, art activities for families, and authentic Spanish cuisine prepared by international chefs. The event concludes with Fiesta Flamenca XII (ticketed), an exclusive one-hour performance at 7 p.m., featuring bailaoras Nelida Tirado and Carmen Montes “La Chispa,” guitarists Ricardo Sanchez and Juanis de la Isla, Jose Cortes, as well as local performers including Maestro Antonio Arrebola of Flamenco DNA.
On Saturday, April 24 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., the Frank Obregon: Jazz Festival will bring together musicians from diverse backgrounds to blend regional sounds with jazz traditions at the Latino Cultural Center.
The Dia de Nino Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 as a free event focused on creativity and family fun. Activities include hands-on crafts with Brick Haus, workshops by Pasos for OC, live entertainment such as dance performances and lucha libre matches, games for all ages in the plaza with Disco Kids DJing music sets throughout the day. Local vendors will also participate while a toy drive called “Juguetes Para Todos” offers donors chances to win raffle prizes like custom shoe experiences or a VIP Disco Kids party.
The series of events reflects ongoing efforts by the Latino Cultural Center to foster cultural appreciation through accessible programming.
