The Latino Cultural Center announced on May 28 the return of its annual ‘Hecho en Dallas’ exhibition, which will be held from June 6 to July 24, 2026. The event, now in its eighteenth year, highlights the creative work of regional artists in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
According to the announcement, this year’s open call received a record number of 470 submissions—the highest in the history of the exhibition. Selected works include photography, painting, sculpture, installations, mixed media and more. The opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and will be free and open to the public at the Latino Cultural Center.
During the exhibition period, organizers say there will be a variety of public programs including artist talks, guided tours, artistic performances and community events aimed at connecting visitors with both the exhibit and participating artists. The timing coincides with what is expected to be Dallas’s peak tourism season this year.
Participating artists include Jesus Alba, Trish Allen, Paulina Altamirano, Monica Barrera, Niel Brandon and several others as listed by organizers.
The Latino Cultural Center is located at 2600 Live Oak St., Dallas. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about programming or upcoming announcements visit lcc.dallasculture.org or check their digital channels and social media platforms.
