Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 30th district since 2023, recently shared her views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Crockett succeeded Eddie Bernice Johnson and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023.

On July 8, 2025, Crockett expressed her concerns regarding a recent decision by the Supreme Court. She tweeted, “The Supreme Court just greenlit Trump’s plan to gut the federal workforce. Without Congress. Without oversight. Without care for the chaos it’ll cause.” She emphasized that this decision affects “real people, real jobs,” and essential services relied upon daily.

The following day, on July 9, 2025, Crockett criticized former President Donald Trump for his remarks towards the President of Liberia. In her tweet, she stated that “Trump never misses an opportunity to be racist and wrong… Asking the President of Liberia where he learned English when it’s literally the official language is peak ignorance.” She described his behavior as “blatantly offensive.”

Later on July 9, Crockett commented on actions by Oversight Republicans regarding President Joe Biden’s doctor. She tweeted that “Oversight Republicans spent their morning trying to grill Joe Biden’s doctor.” She questioned their focus and suggested they could have addressed more pressing issues such as fixing created chaos or investigating actual corruption.

Jasmine Crockett was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981 and currently resides in Dallas. She holds a BA from Rhodes College and a JD from the University of Houston.
