Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett shared a series of tweets about various issues and events on April 18, 2025. The congresswoman, representing Texas’ 30th district, expressed her views on immigration policy, the observance of Good Friday, and a concern regarding the sale of federal property.

On April 18, 2025, Crockett addressed what she describes as the harsh treatment of over 1,000 international students by the previous administration. These students, according to Crockett, saw their “legal status snatched by the Trump admin—no warning, no hearing, no due process.” Crockett added, “This ain’t immigration policy. It’s a power trip.”

Later that day, Crockett reflected on Good Friday, highlighting its significance. She shared a message noting the “power of sacrifice, the depth of grace, and the hope that follows even our darkest hours,” wishing her followers peace and reflection, as the sacred day was honored.

In another tweet, Crockett expressed concerns about the current administration’s handling of federal property sales. She stated that, together with Ranking Member Connolly and DOGE Ranking Member Stansbury, she led an inquiry to investigate what she termed the “shady ‘fire sale’ of federal property.” She mentioned the need for transparency, criticizing the administration for attempting to “sell off government buildings” without it, as per her post.

Jasmine Crockett, 42, born in St. Louis, Missouri, and currently residing in Dallas, has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023, having succeeded Eddie Bernice Johnson. Previously, she served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. Crockett is a graduate of Rhodes College with a Bachelor of Arts and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston.
