Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’s 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of tweets addressing former President Donald Trump’s recent actions and ongoing controversies.
On February 6, 2026, Crockett criticized Trump for sharing manipulated media involving the Obamas. She wrote, “Donald Trump had the racist, bigoted audacity to post an AI-generated video depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes. Most of us already know who Donald Trump is. We already know there are no bounds to how low he’s willing to go. We”.
The following day, on February 7, she reiterated her stance on Trump’s character and referenced his connection to publicized court documents: “Surprised? No. Distracted? Also no. We know who Donald Trump is. He has proven himself time and time again. We will not be distracted — especially not from the fact that he is all up and through the Epstein files.”
On February 9, Crockett commented on Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal situation and alleged intentions regarding clemency: “Ghislaine Maxwell has made it abundantly clear that she will continue protecting pedophiles and sex traffickers until she is granted clemency by Donald Trump. She doesn’t care about the crimes that she has committed and is completely unremorseful. We are not letting up. We”.
Crockett began serving in Congress in 2023 after replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson as representative for Texas’s 30th district; previously, she served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023 (https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/C001133). She won re-election in both 2022 and 2024 with significant margins over her opponents. Born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981, Crockett holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.
