Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently expressed her views on several pressing issues via social media. A former member of the Texas House of Representatives, Crockett continues to address national matters and share her perspectives with her constituents and followers.
On May 12, 2025, Crockett criticized former President Donald Trump for allegedly attempting to use a plane from a foreign government while serving as President. She highlighted this action as a potential violation of the Constitution, specifically referencing the Emoluments Clause. In her words, “Trump is literally trying to fly around on a plane from a foreign government while serving as President. That’s a violation of the Constitution. The Emoluments Clause wasn’t a suggestion. It’s the LAW.”
Later that day, she addressed healthcare policy under another administration, critiquing what she perceived as inadequate plans regarding pharmaceutical negotiations and insulin rationing. She remarked on May 12, 2025: “This man told y’all he had ‘concepts of a plan’… and it turns out the plan was to ask Big Pharma nicely and hope for the best. Folks are rationing insulin and he’s out here signing executive suggestions. Be serious.”
On May 13, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett expressed gratitude for being honored at The Webby Awards as NAACP Advocate of the Year. She emphasized collective action against oppression by stating: “This moment is bigger than me. Thank you @TheWebbyAwards for honoring me as @NAACP Advocate of the Year. Only organized outrage overcomes oppression. Let’s move with purpose, y’all.”
Crockett’s career began in St Louis where she was born in 1981 before moving to Dallas after earning her degrees from Rhodes College and University of Houston.
