Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’s 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has criticized former President Donald Trump and congressional Republicans over funding for TSA workers and other federal agencies in a series of recent posts on social media.

On March 23, Crockett stated, “It has been over 30 days since TSA workers have seen a paycheck because Donald Trump wants to play partisan games.

Democrats have introduced SEVEN bills to fund TSA, but Donald Trump is throwing a tantrum, demanding that Republicans fight with Democrats until his voter”.

The following day, she posted, “So let me get this straight…

Donald Trump is pressuring Republicans to restrict mail-in voting for everybody else — while he’s sitting at home voting by mail himself?

He’s literally urging Republicans to withhold TSA agent’s paychecks until they pass his voter suppression bill https://t.co/FRGyoKfqBo” on March 24.

On March 26, Crockett added, “Republicans could literally fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard right now.

But once again, they’re choosing Donald Trump over the American people.

Absolutely shameful.”

Crockett has served in Congress since 2023 after replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson. She previously represented her district in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. In the most recent general election in 2024, she defeated Jrmar Jefferson with nearly 85% of the vote. In her earlier congressional race in 2022, she won against James Rodgers with approximately 75% of the vote. Crockett was born in St Louis in 1981 and currently resides in Dallas. She holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.

Her comments come amid ongoing debates about federal agency funding and proposed changes to mail-in voting practices.
