Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, a Democratic representative who secured re-election in 2024 with 84.9% of the vote, has used her social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers regarding their stance on the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein and recent economic data.

On September 3, 2025, Crockett posted: “Pay very close attention.

On the campaign trail, Trump promised to release the Epstein files. Now that survivors are naming him as Epstein’s close friend, he’s calling it a “hoax.”

Miss me with that bullshit.”

Two days later, on September 5, she commented on a congressional hearing about free speech: “Republicans called a hearing on free speech, but Trump and Republicans made it clear they don’t believe in it. He threatened members of Congress, calling anyone who votes to release the Epstein files ‘hostile.’

That certainly doesn’t sound like free speech to me.”

Later that same day, Crockett addressed economic issues following new jobs data: “More lies. More letdowns.

Trump promised to fix the economy, but today’s jobs report is the worst since the pandemic. Doesn’t sound like the ‘greatest economy ever’ to me.”

Crockett represents her district after winning re-election by large margins in both 2022 and 2024. In her most recent race against Jrmar Jefferson in 2024, she received nearly 85% of the vote; two years earlier she defeated James Rodgers with almost three-quarters of ballots cast in her favor.

Her comments reflect ongoing political debates over transparency related to Jeffrey Epstein’s case and partisan divisions regarding economic performance under different administrations.
