Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, used her social media platform on March 17 and 18, 2026, to voice criticism of both the Trump administration and current Republican positions regarding foreign policy and allegations of corruption.

On March 17, Crockett posted: “Trump-appointed Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent and I don’t agree on much — and I definitely don’t share his ideology. But when even he can’t, in “good conscience,” defend this administration’s rogue actions, that should tell you everything you need to know. This war is https://t.co/VrwnLNTCiI”.

The following day, she addressed Republican defenses of recent military action against Venezuela and raised questions about double standards in accountability. On March 18, she wrote: “Donald Trump is corrupt — always has been, always will be. Republicans are in here claiming the attack on Venezuela was lawful… but if another country decided to come after Trump over the Epstein files, they’d be outraged. Don’t let them play in your face — this is selective https://t.co/3ujreZ7Snf”.

Crockett also posted a third tweet on March 18 containing only a link: “https://t.co/qvSKjB6j4t”.

Jasmine Crockett has served as the representative for Texas’s 30th district since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023. She previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. Crockett won her congressional seat by defeating Jrmar Jefferson in the 2024 general election with nearly 85% of the vote and had earlier defeated James Rodgers in the 2022 election with almost three-quarters of ballots cast. Born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981, Crockett holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.
