Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, recently used her social media platform to criticize Republican policies on costs and election rules.

On July 15, 2025, Crockett posted: “Remember when Trump and the Republicans swore they’d lower costs? Yeah… they lied.

Six months in, and folks are already paying more—at the store, at the pharmacy, and on their power bills. The Big Ugly Bill’s about to make it worse, with food and health care costs set to”

Later that same day, she questioned Republican claims of supporting Americans: “I find it hard to understand why Republicans think they’re the ones doing the work and “fighting for the American people”, when in reality they’re cutting funding and critical programs that so many Americans depend on.”

On July 16, 2025, Crockett addressed concerns over electoral processes: “Let me be clear: this is not just about Texas.

This is about power, control, and rigging elections before a single vote is cast.

They’re trying to redraw the maps, and rewrite the rules.

Let me remind them: they took an oath to the Constitution, not to Trump—and map”

Crockett has served as a member of Congress for Texas’s 30th District since 2023 after replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson. She previously held office in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. Born in St Louis in 1981 and currently residing in Dallas at age 42, Crockett holds a BA from Rhodes College (2003) and a JD from the University of Houston (2006).
