Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’s 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing issues ranging from federal spending priorities to personal reflections and criticism of former President Donald Trump.
On March 19, 2026, Crockett cited Tupac Shakur while criticizing government spending: “They got money for wars, but can’t feed the poor.” — Tupac said it years ago… and here we are. The Pentagon is now asking for an additional $200 BILLION for this war. We always find the money for war. But when it comes to housing, healthcare, or feeding people? Suddenly it’s https://t.co/JYHzRS1u5U.
The following day, on March 20, 2026, she shared a personal reflection tied to her public service: “This is who is standing up for TX-30 every day. If only little Jasmine could see… Baby girl had no idea what was ahead — but she knew she wasn’t backing down for anybody.”
On March 21, 2026, Crockett addressed actions by former President Donald Trump: “It is completely tasteless and unacceptable for the sitting President of the United States to celebrate anybody’s death — let alone someone who served this country. Donald Trump continues to show us time and time again that there are no limits to how low he is willing to go.”
Crockett began serving in Congress in 2023 after succeeding Eddie Bernice Johnson and previously served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. She has been re-elected multiple times; in 2024 she defeated Jrmar Jefferson with nearly 85% of the vote and in 2022 won against James Rodgers with about three-quarters of ballots cast. Born in St Louis in 1981 and currently residing in Dallas, Crockett holds degrees from Rhodes College (BA) and the University of Houston (JD).
