Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, a Democratic representative who secured re-election in both 2022 and 2024, posted several statements on her Twitter account on January 23, 2026. Her posts addressed the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, recent political developments involving Jack Smith, and the reported kidnapping of a child by immigration authorities.
In her first post marking the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Crockett wrote: “Today marks the 53rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade—a ruling that affirmed women’s right to have control over our own bodies.
Four years ago, a MAGA-influenced Supreme Court overturned it. Women now have fewer rights, and many have died after being denied essential reproductive” (January 23, 2026).
Later that day, she commented on public discourse surrounding legal proceedings: “Today was about letting the people see the difference between noise and credibility.
Jack Smith had the facts and stood on business, while others focused on distractions instead of substance.” (January 23, 2026).
Crockett also addressed reports concerning a missing child: “I am aware of reports that this precious 5-year old, Liam Ramos, who was kidnapped by ICE as he returned home from preschool in Minneapolis may be in San Antonio, Texas.
I will be visiting the Dilley Detention Center in San Antonio next week to conduct oversight and will demand” (January 23, 2026).
Jasmine Crockett has demonstrated electoral strength in her district. In the general election held in 2024, she defeated Jrmar Jefferson with approximately 85% of the vote; two years earlier in 2022 she won against James Rodgers with nearly three-quarters of ballots cast in her favor.
