Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing ongoing political and legal issues, as well as encouraging voter participation in Texas.
On February 18, 2026, Crockett commented on the investigation involving Les Wexner and calls for transparency. She wrote, “Oversight Democrats are not backing down. If Les Wexner claims he doesn’t remember, then he needs to turn over his financial records and let the money tell the story. Survivors deserve justice. It’s time for the cover-up to end.”
Later that day, she urged Texans to participate in early voting for upcoming elections: “Alright Texas! Early voting has officially started. It’s time to show this nation exactly what Texas is made of. Make a voting plan—get to the polls and make your voices heard.” She added in Spanish: “¡Órale Texas! Ya comenzó oficialmente la votación temprana. Es hora de mostrarle a esta nación”.
On February 19, 2026, Crockett referenced differences between U.S. and U.K. responses to certain crimes and criticized former President Donald Trump’s administration: “If only the Trump Administration took these crimes as seriously as the U.K. But I guess that’s hard when they’re the ones leading the cover-up.”
Crockett has represented Texas’s 30th District since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023 after previously serving in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. In recent elections, she won by significant margins against her opponents—defeating Jrmar Jefferson with nearly 85% of votes in 2024 and James Rodgers with almost 75% in 2022.
Born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981 and now residing in Dallas, Crockett holds degrees from Rhodes College (BA) and University of Houston (JD).
