Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas’ 30th district, recently shared her views on social media concerning Father’s Day, immigration policies, and veterans’ healthcare. Elected to the U.S. Congress in 2023 after serving in the Texas House of Representatives, Crockett continues to voice her perspectives on various national issues.
On June 15, 2025, Crockett extended her gratitude to fathers with a message acknowledging their roles in protection and provision. She expressed appreciation by stating: “To the dads who protected us, provided for us, showed up—and taught us how to stand ten toes down: we see you, we love you, we thank you. Happy Father’s Day.”
In a tweet dated June 16, 2025, Crockett criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to immigration enforcement. She highlighted a discrepancy between treatment of urban areas and certain business interests by saying: “Trump says mass deportations are urgent—but not if they mess with his donors’ pockets. ICE was told to back off farms and hotels ’cause it was bad for business. But LA and Chicago? Open season.” Her statement called into question what she described as the “weaponization of government against the cities.”
Crockett further commented on healthcare policies affecting veterans in a post from June 17, 2025. She addressed new VA rules under Trump’s administration that allow discrimination based on marital status or political affiliation: “What do marriage and political views have to do with healthcare? Absolutely nothing.” She argued that veterans should not have to struggle for access to medical care.
Jasmine Crockett has been an active member of Congress since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023. Born in St Louis in 1981 and now residing in Dallas, she holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.
