Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has shared her views on several pressing issues via social media. Serving since 2023 after replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson, Crockett is known for her active engagement with constituents and public discourse.

On May 16, 2025, Crockett commented on a recent decision by the House Budget Committee regarding former President Trump’s budget proposal. She stated that “The House Budget Committee just said NO to Trump’s budget bill—a reckless ‘plan’ that would gut Medicaid, slash SNAP, and hurt millions of Americans.”

In another post dated May 17, 2025, she addressed the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold birthright citizenship. She expressed approval of the ruling by stating “Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right. So I’m glad the Supreme Court decided to uphold the Constitution instead of letting Trump weaponize an 18th-century law.”

Later on May 17, Crockett remarked on an incident involving Elon Musk and his company DOGE in relation to the Government Accountability Office (GAO). She emphasized GAO’s independence from external influences by asserting “Elon’s lil DOGE tried to roll up on GAO like they run Congress. Let me be clear: GAO works for US—not Trump or Elon. DOGE can’t shrink what it doesn’t control. Stay in your lane.”

Crockett was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981 and currently resides in Dallas. She graduated from Rhodes College with a BA in 2003 and earned a JD from the University of Houston in 2006.
