The Latino Cultural Center in Dallas announced on May 28 the return of its annual “Hecho en Dallas” exhibition, which will be on view from June 6 through July 24, 2026. The event marks the eighteenth edition of one of North Texas’ longest-running open-call exhibitions highlighting regional artists and their creative contributions to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex arts community.

This year’s open call received a record-breaking 470 submissions, making it the highest number in the exhibition’s history. Selected works encompass photography, painting, sculpture, installation, mixed media, and other forms. An opening reception that is free and open to the public is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Latino Cultural Center.

Throughout the duration of “Hecho en Dallas,” organizers will offer a range of public programming such as artist talks, guided tours, performances, and community-centered events intended to further engage audiences with both the artwork and participating artists. The timing coincides with what city officials expect will be Dallas’ busiest tourism period this year.

The list of featured artists includes Jesus Alba, Trish Allen, Paulina Altamirano, Monica Barrera, Niel Brandon, and more than fifty others representing diverse backgrounds across North Texas.

The Latino Cultural Center is operated by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture and is located at 2600 Live Oak St., Dallas. The gallery maintains hours from Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., with additional information about programs available at lcc.dallasculture.org or via its digital channels.
