The 18th Annual Hecho en Dallas exhibition will open on June 6 at the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, featuring more than 65 artists from across the community. The opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and will include art displays, music, dance performances, and opportunities to meet participating artists.
The celebration will take place at the Latino Cultural Center located at 2600 Live Oak Street in Dallas. Attendees can expect a special performance by Representa Foundation and live music from Sabor Puro Cumbia during the evening event. Organizers said this is an opportunity for both longtime supporters and first-time visitors to experience local talent and connect with members of the creative community.
Hecho en Dallas is described as more than just an exhibition; it also includes a series of summer programs such as guided tours every Saturday at noon, artist mixers, and talks with featured artists Eliana Miranda (June 12), Antonio Lechuga (July 11), and Francisco Moreno (July 17). The schedule also features a Community Craft Day on June 20 for families to participate in hands-on activities, as well as the launch of En Vivo—a new live music initiative—on June 13 with a performance by Vanita Leo.
The exhibition runs through July 24. A closing reception featuring Los Gran Reyes is planned for July 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering one final chance for visitors to view this year’s artwork while enjoying live music and community engagement.
Organizers said that over its eighteen-year history, Hecho en Dallas has served as a platform for local artists while celebrating diverse creative voices throughout the city. All events are free and open to the public.
