The City of Dallas announced on May 27 that it will hold an official Pride flag-raising ceremony and resource fair at Dallas City Hall Plaza to mark the beginning of Pride Month. The city’s rainbow flag will be flown at municipal buildings throughout June, and downtown partners will illuminate their buildings with multicolored lights starting May 29 in support of Pride Month.

The event is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2026, at 5 p.m. at Dallas City Hall Plaza, located at 1500 Marilla Street. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will move indoors to the Flag Room in Dallas City Hall.

Participants in the ceremony include Council Member Chad West from District 1 and Council Member Laura Cadena from District 6. Other organizations involved are the LGBT Employees Association of the City of Dallas, Dallas Police Department, Dallas Arboretum, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Wings, Texas Latino Pride, Abounding Prosperity, LGBT Task Force Group, and MMIW TX Rematriate.

The event aims to celebrate diversity and inclusion within the community during Pride Month by bringing together city officials and local organizations.
