The Dallas Stars announced on Mar. 24 that they have signed defenseman Aram Minnetian to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Minnetian, age 21, recently completed his junior season at Boston College where he recorded 11 points and a plus-minus rating of plus-15 in 36 games. The signing brings a new addition to the team’s defensive lineup as the organization looks toward future seasons.
Before joining Boston College, Minnetian played for the U.S. National Development Program in the United States Hockey League during the 2022-23 season. He registered seven goals and twenty-four assists for a total of thirty-one points and achieved a plus-minus rating of plus-48 over sixty-two games played. Over his NCAA career spanning one hundred eleven games, Minnetian scored seven goals and added twenty-seven assists for thirty-four points.
Minnetian was selected by Dallas in the fourth round as the one hundred twenty-fifth overall pick during the 2023 National Hockey League Draft.
The team’s decision to sign Minnetian reflects their ongoing efforts to strengthen their roster with young talent who have demonstrated strong performance at both collegiate and developmental levels.
