Dallas Stars acquire Michael Bunting from Nashville Predators

The Dallas Stars have acquired forward Michael Bunting from the Nashville Predators. This season, Bunting played 61 regular-season games for Nashville, recording 31 points. He ranked third on the team in power-play goals, fourth in goals, and sixth in both assists and total points.

Stars general manager Nill commented on the move, stating, “Michael is a tremendous addition to our roster. His goal scoring ability mixed with physicality makes him extremely tough to play against. We are looking forward to seeing him on the ice in Dallas.”

Bunting, who is from Scarborough, Ontario, has accumulated 250 points (108 goals and 142 assists) over 405 regular-season NHL games during his seven-year career. He has played for Arizona, Toronto, Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Nashville. In the Stanley Cup Playoffs, he appeared twice with Toronto and recorded five points in 13 games.

Bunting stands six feet tall and weighs 186 pounds. He was drafted by Arizona in the fourth round as the 117th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Draft.
