Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, who represents Texas’ 30th district in the U.S. Congress, has taken to social media to express her views on several pressing issues. Her tweets highlight concerns over political priorities and recent legislative actions.
On June 13, 2025, Crockett criticized certain political figures for their selective approach to law enforcement and due process. She stated: “They’re silent on white supremacist violence—but loud when it comes to demonizing immigrants. They skip past the real threats, then cry ‘law and order’ while breaking the law themselves. And due process? Only matters when it’s someone they like. But that’s not how this works.”
Later that day, she voiced her disapproval of a Republican-backed legislative package that she claims undermines essential funding. On June 13, 2025, she wrote: “Republicans just passed a package that guts $9.4 BILLION in critical funding. They’re coming for global health, humanitarian aid, national security—and even PBS and NPR. And they’ve got the audacity to call it ‘waste.’ Let me be real clear: What they’re cutting saves lives.”
The following day, June 14, 2025, Crockett expressed concern over an attack on Minnesota state lawmakers Sen. John Hoffman and Rep. Melissa Hortman: “The targeted attack on Minnesota state lawmakers, Sen. John Hoffman and Rep. Melissa Hortman, is absolutely horrific. Violence like this has no place in a democracy.” She offered prayers for their recovery and highlighted the risks faced by public servants.
Jasmine Crockett has served in Congress since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023 after previously serving in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023.
