Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas’ 30th district since 2023, has voiced her criticism on social media regarding recent political developments. Her tweets reflect concerns about policies and actions that she believes negatively impact vulnerable communities and the national economy.
On June 4, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett expressed her disapproval of former President Donald Trump’s decision to terminate the Job Corps program. She stated, “Trump is shutting down Job Corps—kicking vulnerable young people out of housing, job training, and education programs with zero plan.” Crockett questioned Trump’s commitment to the working class by highlighting the potential adverse effects on individuals who rely on these services.
In another tweet posted on the same day, Congresswoman Crockett commented on Elon Musk’s critique of Trump’s budget bill. She noted the inconsistency in Musk’s stance by stating, “Elon calling Trump’s budget bill a ‘disgusting abomination’ is real rich… Now just the other day, that was your boy?!” Crockett accused Musk of previously supporting efforts to dismantle federal agencies under the guise of efficiency.
Later that day, Congresswoman Crockett addressed claims surrounding a legislative proposal referred to as “One Big Beautiful Bill.” She challenged its purported fiscal responsibility by citing findings from a non-partisan budget office. According to her tweet: “$2.4 TRILLION added to the deficit—and for what? Tax cuts for the rich.”
Crockett’s career includes serving in both state and federal legislative bodies. Born in St Louis in 1981 and currently residing in Dallas, she holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.
