Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas’ 30th district since 2023, recently shared her perspectives on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Her remarks covered topics from former President Donald Trump’s business ventures to actions by federal agents and significant healthcare policy changes.

On June 17, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett expressed criticism of former President Donald Trump’s latest business endeavor. She stated, “Trump is back to selling scams—this time, it’s a $499 phone. He’s doing what he does best: turning the presidency into a business deal.” She further commented on the investigations surrounding the Bidens and highlighted Trump’s current financial pursuits.

Later that day, Crockett addressed an incident involving ICE agents and NYC Comptroller Brad Lander. She tweeted, “ICE agents are out here manhandling elected officials—yet again. They arrested NYC Comptroller Brad Lander for asking if they had a warrant—which is his constitutional right.” Crockett criticized the administration’s use of federal agents in this context.

On June 18, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett turned her attention to recent legislative actions by Republicans concerning healthcare. She remarked, “House Republicans passed the biggest health care cut in U.S. history. Senate Republicans’ response? Hold my beer.” Crockett highlighted potential consequences such as the closure of rural hospitals and loss of care for millions.

Jasmine Crockett has been serving in Congress since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023. Born in St Louis in 1981 and currently residing in Dallas, she holds degrees from Rhodes College and the University of Houston.
