On July 2, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett announced the rescheduling of a telephone town hall due to ongoing votes related to the Budget bill. She expressed her desire to be fully present for the conversation with constituents. “Due to ongoing votes in the House related to the Budget bill, our telephone town hall is being rescheduled to NEXT Wednesday, July 9 at 6 PM CST.”

In another tweet on July 3, 2025, she criticized Republican efforts regarding what she termed as the “Big Betrayal Bill.” She questioned their strategy and execution while highlighting issues with keeping voting open for extended periods. “Republicans are still trying to pass their Big Betrayal Bill… You can hold the vote open all night…trash is still trash.”

Jasmine Crockett was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981 and currently resides in Dallas. She holds a BA from Rhodes College and a JD from the University of Houston.
