Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas’ 30th district since 2023, has been vocal on social media about recent events and legislative actions. Her tweets reflect her concerns over community safety and legislative priorities.

On July 1, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett expressed her sorrow regarding a shooting incident at The Shops at RedBird. She stated: “Devastated to learn about the shooting at The Shops at RedBird—right here in our community. My heart is with the loved ones of the victim, and I’m grateful to law enforcement for acting quickly.”

The following day, on July 2, she criticized certain Republican actions in Congress. In a tweet directed at them, she questioned their motives: “To the Republicans pushing this through, knowing the harm it’ll cause: If you’re not here to serve your constituents—then why are you here? Why are you working harder for billionaires than for the people who actually sent you here to work for them?”

Later that same day, Congresswoman Crockett shared her frustration over blocked efforts to prevent cuts to SNAP and Medicaid. She noted: “I went to the House Floor to stop the cuts to SNAP and Medicaid. Republicans blocked it—wouldn’t even consider it. So let’s be clear: they know exactly what this bill will do. And they do. not. care.”

Jasmine Crockett was born in St Louis, Missouri in 1981 and currently resides in Dallas. She graduated from Rhodes College with a BA in 2003 and earned a JD from the University of Houston in 2006.
