Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, representing Texas’ 30th district, has been vocal on social media regarding recent government actions and community events. Her tweets address various issues including government policies and local community engagement.
On June 8, 2025, Congresswoman Crockett expressed her concerns over the deployment of the National Guard in Los Angeles to control protests. She remarked that “First they illegally deport citizens. Then they unleash ICE to terrorize communities. Now they’ve got the National Guard in L.A. to silence protestors.” She concluded by stating, “This ain’t about law and order. This is what authoritarianism looks like.”
Continuing her critique on June 9, 2025, Crockett highlighted inconsistencies in governmental claims about family values. She tweeted, “Just in case y’all didn’t catch on— The folks hollering about ‘family values’ are out here tearing families apart with unlawful ICE raids, militarized police, and the weaponization of government.” Further emphasizing socioeconomic issues, she added that these actions occur while essential services such as food and healthcare are being removed from working-class families.
In contrast to her political commentary, Congresswoman Crockett shared a positive note on community activities with her tweet on June 9, 2025: “Our 5th Annual Fish n’ Kids Festival was a whole vibe! “ She praised the event for bringing families together and acknowledged those who contributed to its success.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett has been serving since replacing Eddie Bernice Johnson in 2023. Prior to this role, she served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2021-2023.
