Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported the booking of Jesus Hernandez on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14.
According to Dallas County records, Hernandez was booked under number 26001317 on January 8, 2026, at 10:57 PM local time. The charge listed is sex abuse of a child continuous: victim under 14, with a bond amount set at $100,000. An additional hold is placed for illegal alien status with no bond amount.
The Dallas County District Attorney’s Office reports that approximately 700 child sexual abuse cases are filed annually in Dallas County. The Crimes Against Children Division prosecutes all sexual abuse cases involving children, child pornography cases, and child trafficking offenses. Over 70 Texas law enforcement agencies participated in Operation Soteria Shield in April 2025, resulting in the rescue of 109 children and the arrest of 244 offenders.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states that at least one in four girls and one in twenty boys experience child sexual abuse in the United States. About 90 percent of child sexual abuse is perpetrated by someone known and trusted by the child or child’s family members. In 2022, an estimated 558,899 children were victims of abuse and neglect, with 11 percent sexually abused.

It serves as the chief law enforcement agency, providing defense, maintaining law and order, and managing incarceration facilities.
