Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’ 24th district since 2021, recently shared a series of updates on legislative efforts via social media. These posts highlight her initiatives and accomplishments in areas ranging from healthcare to economic policy.

On May 14, 2025, Van Duyne announced progress in improving the transportation of donated organs. She stated, “This is an important step toward ensuring lifesaving organs reach patients quickly and safely. I’m proud to lead the effort to cut bureaucratic red tape and modernize how donated organs are transported on commercial aircraft.”

Later that day, she addressed economic policies aimed at supporting job creators in America. Van Duyne emphasized the importance of pro-growth reforms under President Trump by stating, “We are ensuring stability and security for our American job creators, so they know we are delivering pro-growth reforms to lower taxes and slash job killing regulations! This is why you have continued to see private sector jobs surging under President Trump.”

In another update on May 14, 2025, she discussed legislative progress regarding tax relief. After an extensive markup session lasting 18 hours, she reported that the tax portion of a significant bill had been passed out of committee. Van Duyne wrote, “This morning, we wrapped an 18-hour markup of our tax portion of the One Big, Beautiful bill, passing it out of committee. We are delivering tax relief for American families, workers, seniors, and small businesses across the country.”

Beth Van Duyne was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and currently resides in Irving. She graduated from Cornell University with a BA in 1995.
