Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’ 24th district, has recently shared her views on several topics through social media. Van Duyne, who succeeded Kenny Marchant in 2021, continues to engage with her constituents and broader political issues.

On May 11, 2025, Congresswoman Van Duyne expressed her opposition to increasing federal SALT tax deductions. She stated that “Bailing out high tax, poorly run, Democrat dominated states by increasing federal SALT tax deductions only encourages more socialism and punishes well run, lower tax states.”

Later the same day, she shared her enthusiasm for local art events in Texas’ 24th district. In a tweet posted at 22:14 UTC, she remarked on the event’s success: “It was great to see everyone who came out to support our amazing artists in #TX24! What a wonderful evening celebrating the creativity of these talented students.” She also extended gratitude towards art teachers for their support.

On May 12, 2025, Van Duyne commented on international trade developments involving the United States and China. Her post highlighted an agreement aimed at reducing tariffs and promoting fair trade practices. She noted it as “Another historic win for the Trump Administration to help expand market access for American products and companies!”

Beth Van Duyne was born in Ithaca, New York in 1970 and now resides in Irving. A Cornell University alumna with a BA earned in 1995, she has been actively serving her district since taking office.
