On May 15, 2025, Van Duyne announced the passage of the LEOSA Reform Act by her colleagues in the House GOP. She expressed her support as a cosponsor of this bipartisan reform aimed at enhancing public safety. The act intends to extend concealed carry privileges for law enforcement officers to further ensure community protection. “Yesterday, with my @HouseGOP colleagues, we passed the LEOSA Reform Act, which I was glad to support as a cosponsor.”

Later that day, Van Duyne acknowledged Chairman Smith’s leadership in preventing what she described as “the largest tax hike in American history.” She praised his efforts during an extensive 18-hour markup session conducted by the Ways and Means GOP. ” Thanks to Chairman Smith for leading the way to save Americans from the largest tax hike in American history.”

In another update on May 15, Van Duyne highlighted a new business development in North Texas. She announced that NtxBio is constructing a new facility in Plano, emphasizing how North Texas continues to attract businesses and provide opportunities for its workforce. “Awesome news! NtxBio is building a new facility in Plano.”

Beth Van Duyne was born in Ithaca, New York, and graduated from Cornell University with a BA in 1995. She resides in Irving.
