On May 20, 2025, Van Duyne tweeted about a meeting with H.E. Sun Chanthol, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia. She expressed optimism about ongoing discussions with the U.S. Administration concerning a trade deal, stating: “I had the opportunity to meet with H.E. Sun Chanthol, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia. It was great to hear that they continue to have conversations with the Administration on a trade deal.”

Later that day, Van Duyne highlighted her engagement with Texas members of Safari Club International. She emphasized their efforts in defending hunting rights and promoting wildlife conservation: “I recently had the opportunity to meet with some Texas members of the Safari Club International, during the meeting we were able to talk about their work to defend the freedom to hunt and their promotion of wildlife conservation.”

In another tweet posted on May 20, 2025, Van Duyne commented on crime reduction strategies involving cooperation between police operations and ICE in Irving: “No one with common sense is surprised by this: get rid of violent criminal aliens and crime is reduced. We saw the same positive results in Irving when we coordinated police operations with ICE.” Sanctuary cities only endanger people who live there.

Van Duyne’s career began following her graduation from Cornell University in 1995. Born in Ithaca, New York in 1970, she currently resides in Irving.
