Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, representing Texas’ 24th district, has been vocal on various policy matters through her tweets. The congresswoman has expressed her views on immigration, regulatory changes, and tax reforms.

On April 15, 2025, Van Duyne tweeted about border security, highlighting a significant decrease in apprehensions. She attributed the change to President Trump’s policies, stating “Border apprehensions down 95% since this time last year! In just a few months President @realDonaldTrump has secured our southern border and ended the chaos caused in the Biden-era.”

The following day, on April 16, 2025, Van Duyne shared that alongside her Republican colleagues, she voted to overturn regulations set by President Biden on home appliances. She explained that the regulations increased costs and restricted consumer options, noting the bill’s advancement to the President’s desk. Her tweet stated “With my @HouseGOP colleagues, we voted to overturn President Biden’s burdensome home appliance regulations that drive up costs and limit consumer choice.”

Later, on the same day, Van Duyne emphasized the need to extend the Trump Tax Cuts from 2017 to avoid tax increases for millions of Americans. She asserted the importance of these cuts, describing them as both “pro-growth” and “pro-family,” advocating for their continuation in her post “If we do not extend the Trump Tax Cuts from 2017 millions of Americans will see their taxes increase.”

Beth Van Duyne, who has served in the U.S. Congress since 2021, is a representative of Texas’s 24th District, a position previously held by Kenny Marchant. Van Duyne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, completed in 1995.
