The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on May 28 the home and road opponents for the SMU Mustangs men’s basketball team during the 2026-27 season.

SMU’s conference schedule will feature 18 games, including home and away matchups against Georgia Tech and Louisville. The Mustangs are set to host California, Clemson, Duke, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Syracuse, and Wake Forest at Moody Coliseum. Their road-only contests will be against Boston College, Miami, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament is scheduled to take place from March 9-13 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The Mustangs are entering their third season under their current head coach with a transfer class ranked sixth nationally and second in the ACC by On3. In the previous season (2025-26), SMU returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2017. The team recorded two top-25 wins—the first such achievement in six seasons—and appeared in both the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Polls for the first time in nine years. Three players earned All-ACC honors as SMU finished among the top thirty teams nationally in scoring offense, assists per game, field-goal percentage, and three-point shooting percentage. Over the past two seasons combined, SMU has posted a record of 44 wins and 25 losses overall with a conference mark of 21-17.

Details regarding specific game dates and television coverage will be released at a later date.

Season tickets for the upcoming campaign are now available for purchase. The renewal deadline is Friday, July 31; after this date, eligible ticket holders may participate in an upgrade process guided by Mustang Club Priority Points. Ticket prices include all fees; payment plans are offered through May renewals. Updates have been made to parking options and Miller Club donation levels based on new Mustang Club Benefits charts.
