ACC announces additional football game times for upcoming season

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on May 27 additional game times and television details for the first three weeks and all weekday games of the upcoming football season. The announcement includes specific information for Southern Methodist University’s first three matchups, as well as a Friday home contest against Virginia Tech.

According to the release, SMU will open its season on Monday, September 7, at Florida State with a 6:30 p.m. Central Time kickoff on ESPN. The following week, SMU will host UC Davis on Saturday, September 12, at 3 p.m. Central Time, with coverage on ACCNX. In week three, SMU travels to Louisville for a Saturday matchup at 2:30 p.m., which will air on either ESPN or ESPN2.

The schedule also confirms that SMU’s home game against Virginia Tech is set for Friday, November 6, at 6 p.m. Central Time and will be broadcast by ESPN. Other notable games include matchups against Missouri State during Family Weekend and Wake Forest during Homecoming; kickoff times for these contests are yet to be determined.

SMU’s full slate features seven home games at Ford Stadium this season, including five conference contests in their inaugural ACC campaign. Season tickets remain available through official channels while away-game tickets can also be purchased separately.

The remainder of the schedule includes games against Boston College (October 3), Virginia (October 17), California (October 24), Syracuse (October 31), Notre Dame (November 21), and Stanford (November 28). A bye week is scheduled for October 10.
